These shoes have held up great after four to five months of heavy use by my very active five-year-old. She wears them three to five days a week and they're one of her favorite pairs to pick out. She loves to drag her toes, and the tops haven't scuffed at all, which is a huge win. The shoes broke in easily and are flexible enough that she can wear any kind of sock with them, even fuzzy socks, which don't always fit in tighter shoes. There is some slight wearing on the outer fabric since it's a softer material, but it's really only noticeable to us because we use them every day. Walking by, you wouldn't see it. Compared to any other shoe she's had, these are holding up great.

The Run Star Trainers are comfortable right out of the box and seriously durable, which is all I really care about with a kid's shoe. They work great as both a casual and athletic shoe. My five-year-old (almost six) is an active guy, and these have held up well to his level of activity. They ran a little big at first, but he's grown into them nicely and wears them just as much as the rest of his shoes. The only drawback is that the suede can get pretty beat up and fade over time. It doesn't affect the functionality at all, just the look, and for a kid's shoe that's a trade-off I'm fine with.
These have held up great on my eight-year-old after three or four months of regular wear, which is impressive given how hard kids are on shoes. He finds them very comfortable and wears them for both outdoor play and casual everyday use. They're still in pretty good condition compared to other kids' shoes we've tried. The fit runs more narrow, and my son actually has wider-set feet, but he hasn't complained about any discomfort. I got them in black, which was a smart choice since it doesn't show dirt easily. I wouldn't use these as a running shoe. For that I'd go with something more athletic, but for everyday wear and play they've been a solid pick.
My daughter loved these shoes from the moment she saw them and they've held up beautifully after four to six months of near-daily wear. She says they're some of the most comfortable shoes she's worn, and if they're not dirty or don't clash with her outfit, she's choosing these every time. She's an active kid between recess sports, community plays, and just being on the go constantly. We live in Oklahoma where the terrain ranges from grass to rocks to a lot of mud, and these shoes have handled all of it with no real signs of major wear and tear. She specifically loves how low they sit on the ankle, making them easy to get on and off, and she thinks the laces are really cool. The style is a hit too. She loved the color right away and immediately wanted to wear them to school the next day. Cleaning is simple. I knock off any built-up dirt, go over the suede with a cleaning brush and suede cleaner, then finish with a suede brush. They look mostly new afterward. You could honestly get them really clean with just a scrub brush and water. After several cleanings, the color has faded slightly, but it's still very clearly red and looks great. No sizing issues, nothing I'd change. I'm honestly thinking about getting her another pair because she likes them so much.
These look very cute, durable and comfortable, but I ordered a size too big for my seven-year-old so he hasn't worn them yet. The sole is noticeably thicker than some of the cheaper shoes I've bought before, which is great. The elastic slip-on design should make it easy for him to get them on and off independently while still being secure enough to run in. The tongue is pretty long with a wide elastic section, so I'm hopeful it holds up over time, though I do wonder if constant on-and-off will stretch it out eventually. Overall they look like a solid step up from what we've tried before. We'll see how long they last once he grows into them.
