This is hands down my favorite car seat I've used, and I recommend it to everyone making a registry or purchasing a new car seat. The Maxi Cosi Pria has grown with my two-year-old through two stages now with minimal wear and tear, so I'm confident it's going to last well into the next transition. The fabric has held up amazingly well with daily use. We've dealt with everything from milk spills to full-on diaper blowouts, and even the harder stains cleaned up really nicely. The light neutral color is a bonus in warmer weather too, as it seems to stay cool when getting into a hot car. Moving it between vehicles has been no trouble at all, whether we're switching it to a grandparent's car for a transfer or just swapping between our own vehicles. The adjustments are really pretty user friendly. We've been using it daily since we got it, and I'm still impressed at how well it's holding up.

This is a really great car seat. Installation is very easy, and buckling my child in is simple too, much easier than other car seats I've used. I've been using it for a few months now with my one-year-old, and it feels very safe. The color is great, and my child loves it. If you're considering this seat, think about how much space you have in the back of your car, how big your car is, and your child's height and weight.
Overall, the Maxi Cosi Pria is a fantastic car seat, but it's bulky, and that limits which vehicles it will actually work in. That's my biggest and really only complaint. We received this car seat when my son was about nine months old, and he's now a year. We previously had a Graco Click Connect infant seat, and the Maxi Cosi was a huge upgrade in almost every way. The padding is significantly better. The Graco honestly never felt very protective or comfortable for him, while he has zero issues sitting in the Maxi Cosi. No upset car rides, he seems genuinely comfortable. I wish we'd had this seat when we first brought him home from the hospital. Installation is super easy compared to the Graco, which was tedious to get in and out of the car. The base on the Graco was extremely difficult to release once it was secured. The Maxi Cosi is simple to install and uninstall. Cleaning has been easy too. We've only had to wipe it down with a wet cloth after a couple spit-up episodes, and that's been enough. The cup holders are removable for cleaning, which is a nice touch. My son just started using a water bottle, so having the cup holder available is convenient. He actually prefers riding in the Volkswagen now because he can sit more comfortably and have his water bottle with him. The infant seat doesn't have a cup holder at all. The adjustability is great knowing he can grow into it, and it'll eventually convert to front-facing when he's ready. Here's the issue though: it only works in our Volkswagen Tiguan, not in our Subaru Outback. We tested it in both vehicles, rear-facing and front-facing. In the Volkswagen there's enough leg space for rear-facing, though we still have to push the front passenger seat forward a little so the car seat isn't touching the back of the seat. In the Subaru Outback, rear-facing would require pushing the front seat all the way forward, which isn't practical with a passenger. It only fits front-facing in the Subaru. So right now, while he's still rear facing, we're limited to using it in the Volkswagen. I do recommend this seat to friends and family, but I always tell them they need to test it in their vehicle first. There's no sense adding it to a registry if you're going to have to return it because it doesn't fit. It would probably work well in a minivan or something with more cabin space. I'd love it if they could make a slightly slimmer version, though I understand that might mean sacrificing the padding, which is one of my favorite features. It just makes me feel like he's so much more protected compared to the infant seat in my Subaru. We'll keep using it in the Volkswagen until he grows out of it, and once he's old enough to face forward, the fit won't be an issue at all. Front-facing works fine in both vehicles, and he'll be a lot happier being able to see everything.
Great car seat overall, but it runs wider than other seats we've had, so it scrunches the sibling sitting right next to it. Make sure your backseat is wide enough to handle this if you have other car seats or children in the same row. Comfort-wise, my very small three-year-old loves it. The first time she used it on a little trip, she immediately fell asleep, which told me everything I needed to know. It's easy to install, and after several months of use we're pleased with how it's held up.
This is a solid, average car seat. Nothing particularly stands out about it compared to other car seats we have, but nothing disappoints either. It's an acceptable option if you're looking for something mid-range, not too expensive but not the cheapest out there. I have four kids, ages nine months, three, five, and eight, and they all fit pretty well in it. My kids are on the skinny side, and there's still plenty of room, so I think it would do well for larger children too. They seem comfortable enough. Installation is about average compared to other brands. I haven't needed to clean it yet, so I can't speak to that.
The Maxi Cosi Pria All-in-One is a solid convertible car seat that's really easy to install and fits slim in the car, though the fabric and materials feel a little cheaper compared to other seats I've used. We've had it for about five months now, and my 18-month-old daughter fits well in it with no concerns about leg room or head room as she grows. Installation was smooth with no issues adjusting the harness or recline. Getting my daughter in and out isn't a problem either. Cleaning is easy too, as the material wipes off well. We use it in our second car that we don't drive quite as much, and it's been a great fit for that purpose. That said, having used three other all-in-one convertible seats, I can feel the difference in quality. We've used the Nuna Rava, the Romer Nexa, and the Britax Galaxy 360 Slim. The Nuna Rava is our primary seat and trumps the Pria in material quality, though the overall ease of installation is pretty similar. The Romer Nexa is comparable to the Nuna Rava in terms of luxury materials. I do prefer the Pria over the Britax Galaxy 360 because of the recline on that Britax seat. The buckle, harness, and straps on the Pria also feel a little less refined than some of the other seats I've tested. The recline options aren't quite as vast either. Overall we really like it. My daughter seems comfortable, and the slim profile in the car is a nice bonus. I'd recommend it, especially if ease of installation is a priority for you.
This is my top choice out of all the convertible car seats I've tried, and I have three children so I've been through quite a few. It's easy to install, easy to clean, and my four-year-old finds it very comfortable. Installation is extremely simple. It's lightweight and easy to thread the seat belt through. I frequently have to fold down my back seat to pick up furniture and large items, and I always go for this car seat over my daughter's because it's so quick to get in and out of the car. The harness is another standout. The release button is incredibly smooth, the straps come out evenly, and pulling the strap to tighten is just as effortless. I've had a much harder time with other car seats where the release button requires so much force that you end up pulling one side harder than the other and have to correct it. The washability is honestly amazing. I have a little boy who loves to play in the dirt, and I got a light gray color, which normally would have made me nervous. I can remove the entire cover, including the headpiece, throw it in the washing machine without even taking the car seat out of the car, and put it back on in no time. I've washed it several times and absolutely every stain comes out every single time. The cup holders are also easier for my son to reach and get his cups out of compared to other seats. He can buckle the whole car seat on his own and unclip the chest piece himself, which is great for his independence. I did a quick overview of the safety features and crash test performance, and everything looked up to standard or above, which worked for me. The only challenge is that the light gray color shows everything, but honestly the material has been treated so well that it's easy to wash. I actually think he has a much cleaner car seat because of it, since I can see the mess right away, whereas on a darker color I'd probably ignore it longer. So I'm not sure it's even a bad thing. We've used it for several months now and I absolutely love it.
This is a really nice, deluxe car seat that was super easy to install compared to other convertible seats I've tried. It's also easy to adjust as my daughter has grown. The fabric is really nice and soft, very well cushioned, and it feels safe and sturdy. I can't think of any features I wish it had. The one thing to know is that it's very large. When I put it in my car, we're unable to use the front passenger seat because we have to push it all the way forward. We ended up not using this in our primary vehicle and instead keep it as an extra car seat in the car we drive less. This would be a great seat for people with larger cars that have more room in the back. I've been using it for about 5 or 6 months with my 11-month-old, and it's comparable to other convertible seats I've tried. It's nice and large, and I think it will fit my daughter for a long time.
This car seat has been a disappointment for us, and the longer we've had it, the less we've enjoyed it. I really, really wanted to love it. It's made in the USA, which is huge for me. The color is nice and it seems comfortable for my daughter. But the installation is genuinely difficult. My husband said it's the hardest car seat he's ever installed, and we're on baby number six, so car seat installation is not a new game for him. He's said multiple times he wants to just take it out of the vehicle and switch to something else because it's not simple to adjust. Even in our multi-passenger van, where we purposely put it in the middle seat with plenty of room for margin, accessing the clips necessary for adjusting the car seat has been difficult. It's very big and clunky. We've found Graco convertible car seats to be so much simpler to install and use. I also noticed pilling on the fabric where my daughter rests her feet. She's only 14 months old and doesn't really wear shoes yet, so it's just her socked feet rubbing against the material. We installed the seat in January and noticed pilling by April, so about four months of normal day-to-day use. It hasn't gotten worse since then, but it's visible and shouldn't be happening that quickly. On the positive side, the chest clip has held up well. I was concerned at first because the plastic seemed a little flimsy, but no issues so far. We haven't had to do any deep cleans yet, so I can't speak to how easy the fabric is to remove for washing. By and large, this was a swing and a miss for us. Our daughter doesn't seem to enjoy it as much as her siblings have enjoyed other convertible car seats at similar ages. She may just not be a car seat kid, but we've used other seats where our kiddos seemed happier overall.
This car seat simply did not fit in any of our vehicles, and we tried three of them. I drive a Hyundai Palisade, my husband has a Chevy four-door truck, and my mom has a GMC Yukon. These are all larger vehicles with more space than a typical sedan, and the Maxi Cosi Pria was still too big for every one of them. The overall frame is extremely wide and large. When buckled in for forward-facing, it would either leave a gap on the back or hang off the front of the seat. Something about the base just doesn't sit well in any configuration, whether it's a bench row or bucket seats. In forward-facing mode, my toddler's knees would have been touching the seat in front of him, even in our SUV. In rear-facing mode, the recline needed for a smaller child forces the front seat all the way up into the dashboard, which isn't safe or practical. If you're trying to fit multiple car seats on the same bench, it's going to take up a huge amount of space. The fabric is nice and it seems very comfortable for a child, but none of that matters if it doesn't actually fit in your car. I would urge all future buyers to carefully check the measurements and make sure this seat will work with your specific vehicle before purchasing. Otherwise you'll end up having to buy a different car seat, especially for forward-facing use.
Really good, sturdy, safe car seat. I'm giving it four stars only because of how big it is. It fits in my SUV but doesn't fit in my other little car. It also sits up kind of high, so I have to watch not to hit my one year old's head on the ceiling or the door when I put her in and out. Once we turn it forward facing, I don't think the size issue will be as much of a problem. It's super comfortable with lots of padding and nice features. The harness covers are great, and the adjustable headrest is super easy to move up and down. Overall it's a pretty good seat.
This is a great car seat. It's easy to install, easy to adjust, and our 17-month-old seems very comfortable in it. The directions are simple and straightforward, and it anchors right in. Compared to other car seats, it feels a little higher end on quality, and the style and luxurious feel are really nice. Day-to-day use is pretty simple too. My only advice would be to go with a darker color, because the light option doesn't hold up well to little messes and stains. Other than that, our child loves it and we've had no complaints after a few months of use.
Overall, this is a great car seat with high quality materials and a high-end look, but buyers need to know it's very large and bulky. It will not fit comfortably in a sedan or a smaller SUV. We have a big SUV so it fits comfortably for us, but it might be a tight squeeze for others. The install was very easy and felt very secure, even though there is no load leg. My 14-month-old son seems very comfortable in it, and there's a lot of room to grow. He's on the smaller side, but I think this seat can be used throughout the duration of needing a car seat and booster, so it's a solid long-term investment. Cleaning is super easy, which is important because the material on our version is very light and shows spills and messes obviously. Some of the pads come off, including the ones on the shoulder straps, the ones underneath for added comfort, and the side pads. We've been washing the shoulder strap pads frequently since he spills a lot on them, and they're really easy to just toss in with his laundry or with delicates. The material is also easy to spot clean. We've been using this seat for about four months and I'd recommend it for bigger babies and those with larger SUVs.
This car seat is easy to install and adjust, and it feels very safe with all the padding and support, but the size and my child's comfort issues keep me from fully recommending it. It is significantly wider than other convertible car seats I own, including a convertible booster and the Diono, which is designed to be slim. I'm concerned that once we switch to forward-facing, it won't fit next to my other kids' car seats. I believe you can make safe but compact car seats, especially for families with smaller cars. My child is about 14 months old and we've been using this seat for around 6 months. Recently she's been complaining and doesn't seem to like sitting in it. She doesn't fuss in her stroller, which leads me to believe it's the car seat itself. The recline has also been a challenge. I feel like it makes her uncomfortable, and finding the right seating position has been difficult. That said, that could be a personal experience, and other kids might feel perfectly fine in it. On the positive side, the different settings are nice because as your child grows you can change the way they're sitting to fit their size and weight. You just press the button and lift the headrest. Cleaning is fine too. If you're considering this seat, definitely make sure you have the space for it first. It's probably the biggest convertible car seat we've had.
Super easy to install, easy to get our toddler in and out, and comfortable enough that he's happy every ride. We've been using the Maxi Cosi Pria with our now two-and-a-half-year-old for the past handful of months, and it's an all-around five stars from us. The straps loosen up really easily, which makes unbuckling and getting him out seamless compared to other car seats where you're tugging and fighting with them. The sleek look is a nice bonus too. The one downside is that the strap clips get twisted or tangled somewhat frequently, probably a little more than other car seats we've used. I think the sleekness of the straps that makes them so easy to loosen is the same thing that makes them more easily twistable. That said, the ease of loosening definitely overrides that minor hassle. Our toddler can climb up into the seat and start getting himself buckled, so the standard front-facing setup works great for his age range. For our younger child we actually use the 360 version because it's easier to be hands-on strapping in a baby when the seat turns to face you. We liked this one so much that we got the same seat for our other vehicle. I think it'll fit him for a good while going forward, and we look forward to continuing to use it.
This is a really great car seat in terms of comfort, safety, and long-term value. My son Mateo is a little over a year old, and I honestly don't think I'll be replacing the Maxi Cosi Pria anytime soon because it grows with him. We took a 20-hour car ride and I had zero complaints. The padding is soft, and it reclines in different positions, which was so helpful when he fell asleep or when he was sitting upright. Safety was one of my biggest priorities, and this seat gave me real peace of mind. It's sturdy, feels really protective, and has side impact protection with extra padding around the head area, which is a huge bonus. Compared to other convertible car seats I've seen, this one feels a little more premium in terms of materials and overall security. Installation was super easy, a lot easier than I actually expected. It feels really stable and doesn't shift around. Adjusting the harness and headrest is pretty simple and convenient for everyday use. I've used it in a mini-SUV, a full SUV, and a regular sedan, and it fits perfectly fine in all of them. The only real challenge is cleaning. It comes apart in about three or four pieces, and then you have to wait for everything to dry and put it all back together. I wish the instructions had a clear step-by-step for reassembly, because by the time you wash everything you kind of forget what goes where and it's trial and error all over again. I don't need to fully strip it every time since it's easy to spot clean, but when I do wash the whole thing it takes me a little bit to get everything back in place. The seat is also pretty bulky and takes up a good amount of space in the car, so if you're installing multiple car seats it could be tight. We're just a family of two, so it's not a huge issue for us. For the value and the peace of mind that you won't have to replace it, I think it's totally worth it.
We really enjoy this car seat overall, but know that it runs wide at the top where the backrest is, so it's best suited for a full-size three-row SUV or a truck like a Ford F-150. I originally tried it in the middle seat of my Kia Sorento and it was just too large. It got in the way of my front seats and crowded my two other children. I ended up moving it to my husband's truck where it fits much better with the extra space. My son has been in this seat since he was around 6 months old, and he's about to turn 2 with no fit issues. It adjusts easily as he grows, and there's still plenty of room. The seat is nice and wide so it's not too narrow on his body, gives him some wiggle room, and lets him nap comfortably in the car. Installation was pretty basic, nothing advanced. I wouldn't call it hard, but it wasn't the easiest either. The directions weren't very clear on how to access the belt path, and tightening the belt once it's installed to the lock was a bit of a challenge. It's manual tightening if you install with the seat belt, which some parents find difficult. A lot of newer car seats have technology where you click in the belt, press down, and it automatically tightens, but this one doesn't have that. I do feel safe with my child in this seat. I looked up all the crash test performance and it was solid enough for me to feel comfortable. It's comparable to other convertible seats on the market. It's basically in the middle of everything: not super fancy with crazy technology, but definitely not a cheap seat either. Cleaning has been easy. I've been able to take the cover off, wash it, and put it back on with no issues. The base width is actually a little narrower than other seats I've used, so it's really just the top that takes up the space.
This is a good car seat overall, and I would recommend it to anyone, but it's not ideal for tiny babies. I tested it with my newborn and didn't like how it fit. It was bulky, I couldn't get a good fit on him, and it was difficult to get the proper recline. In my Honda Pilot, the only place it would work rear facing was the middle of the second row because it's so bulky front to back. The deeper recline required when your child can't sit unassisted makes it hard to fit rear facing in some cars. Now that my son is older and can sit unassisted, it does not require as deep of a recline and fits much better both on him and installed in the car. In forward facing mode, it can fit anywhere and isn't any bulkier than any other convertible car seat I've used. Obviously it's bigger than a regular booster, but compared to other convertible seats it's about the same. My five-year-old used it in forward facing mode and said it was very comfortable. The buckle was easy enough for her to undo herself. The headrest looks like it will support her head really well whenever she falls asleep. The light color does make me worry with kids because they’re messy. However we haven't had any issues so far. The cupholders come out for easy cleaning, which is nice. Install was pretty easy with both the latch and seatbelt. The latch just pushes on and has a button to release instead of those hook connectors, so it was easy to install and uninstall. I have an infant and toddler twins, so I've been testing this seat across different stages and setups.
We really like this car seat overall. It's easy to install, comfortable, and our 3½-year-old loves it. The fact that it grows with your child from infant all the way through toddler makes the price worth it. If it only covered one stage, it would feel too expensive, but because you get so much use out of it, the cost is feasible. We've been using it for about six months now, starting rear-facing and then switching to forward-facing, so we've used it both ways. It's really soft, the cupholders are nice, and it's easy to clean up little footprints on it. My one complaint is the straps. The pull strap can be tough to tighten, and I'd say it happens maybe every other time I put my child in. Sometimes the straps also get twisted inside the clip, and you have to feed the strap through to untwist it, which is annoying. Not a dealbreaker, but it's frequent enough to notice.
This is a great, versatile car seat that's easy to install and adjust as your child grows. We've loved it for the four or five months since my son transitioned to forward facing. It's easy to clean and easy to take everything apart, and adjusting for size changes or extra winter layers is simple. My one caveat is the manual buckles. We ended up buying a second car seat of the same model for our other vehicle, and that one has the magnetic snap buckles instead. After using both, I can say the magnetic version is noticeably easier. With the manual buckles, you have to be careful that no loose clothing or fingers get pinched, including your own fingers as a parent. The magnetic ones just snap top to bottom, while the manual ones require you to feed the clip inside, which makes pinching more likely. It's not a dealbreaker, just slightly more tedious day to day. If I were buying again, I'd go with the magnetic buckle version.
We absolutely love this car seat and would 100% buy it again. We started using it when my son was three months old, transitioning out of his infant carrier, and at 14 months he still fits in it perfectly rear-facing. The fabric is so plushy that he falls asleep in it all the time. Installation is where this seat really stands out. The straps and connectors are high-quality, and you can tell because when you pull the strap tight, it secures the seat right away. With other car seats I've had, I literally had to sit on or lean on the seat while pulling the strap a certain direction just to keep it from jostling around. This one is super easy to strap in and gives me real peace of mind knowing it's tight and secure. The cover is easy to remove, and I've washed it a few times now. All the stains come out pretty easily, and every time I clean it, it looks like a brand new car seat. That really speaks to the quality. I haven't run into any real inconveniences or limitations. I do have a pretty big car, so space isn't an issue for me. It would fit in a sedan, but my husband is over six feet tall and already runs into issues with his seat backing up into the car seat in our bigger vehicle. In a smaller car like a sedan, he'd probably have trouble getting his seat back far enough. Something to keep in mind if you have a taller driver in the family.
This is a good car seat with a great design, but the installation difficulty is a real drawback. I've struggled to get it level and to tighten the straps all the way with the latch system. My car has more slanted seats than most, which made it even harder. The manual suggests putting a rolled towel or pool noodle underneath to level it out, which I wasn't super fond of, so I ended up putting the seat in our second car instead. The other frustration is that when your child changes size, you have to uninstall and reinstall the seat to make adjustments. There are a few different strap levels as your child grows, and it also came with inserts for a really small baby that eventually need to come out, which changes the way everything fits. If the installation were easier, the reinstallation wouldn't be such a big deal. That said, the seat looks very comfortable, and the color and overall design are really nice. It's one I would have naturally chosen based on aesthetics alone. My eight-month-old likes it, and I do think it's a good car seat overall. If you're a first-time convertible car seat installer like I was, I'd strongly recommend reading the entire manual beforehand and watching an installation video before trying it yourself. It does help make the process a little easier. I've since installed a different convertible car seat that was simpler, so this one is on the harder end. I received this car seat as part of the Stellar testing panel and have been using it for a few months now.
The Maxi Cosi Pria All-in-One looks and feels nice at first, but it has some real drawbacks that make me think it has a shorter lifespan compared to other convertible car seats we've tried. The material is soft, which I initially appreciated, but it's not nearly as breathable as competitors. On hot sunny days where the car's AC can't fully reach the backseat, our child ends up overheating. The rigid upright backing also makes it difficult to get our child in and out of the seat since it doesn't have any give. Adjusting the sitting angle while rear-facing isn't easy either, which caused some leg cramping as our child got older. Around the 20-month mark we started noticing these issues adding up. Installation in our Honda Accord sedan was generally straightforward, just required a bit of maneuvering in the backseat, and we haven't had to make too many adjustments as our child has grown. We started using this seat at about 18 months and our child turns two this week, so it's been a relatively short window of use, but it already feels like we'll be looking for a replacement sooner than we expected.
This car seat is easy to install, super comfortable, and has plenty of room to grow. My son is almost 14 months and looks tiny inside it, which tells me we'll get a lot of use out of it. The straps don't rub against his shoulder or neck, and there's a lot of flexibility there. We were able to remove some of the padding and reposition it to areas where he needed more support, making sure his head was well supported and nothing was cutting into him when he does his little maneuvers like grabbing his feet and putting his legs in his mouth. We've only had to make adjustments twice: once during the initial setup and once after we figured out how he was settling into it. The cupholders are a nice touch. He's not old enough to really use them yet, but we put his toys in there so they're within reach. One thing to know is that it's a large seat. If you put it behind the driver's side, you won't have a lot of room to move the seat back if you're particularly tall. It doesn't affect me and I'm 5'8". Compared to other convertible car seats, the main difference is that it doesn't pivot. A couple of people I know with kids like the rotating car seat, but we haven't really minded. The color does pick up stains a little more easily. Berries have been the hardest to get out. My kid loves fruit and sometimes when we're in a rush in the morning heading to daycare, I'll bring some of his leftover breakfast, and blackberries on little hands plus a light-colored seat can be trouble. Milk, juice, and other things like that haven't been a problem to clean. I've just learned my lesson about blackberries in the car seat.
We stopped using this car seat after less than a month due to fit issues with our midsize SUV and concerns about fabric durability. In the fully reclined position for the youngest infant category, the seat takes up so much space front to back that the front passenger couldn't sit comfortably without their knees crammed into the dash. We weren't able to use it on the driver side for the same reason, and we couldn't adjust the passenger seat in a meaningful way to compensate. On top of that, the fabric started pilling where my 12-month-old's feet rested after less than two weeks of use. He only wore shoes two or three times during that stretch, so the pilling was entirely from bare or socked feet rubbing against the material. That doesn't impact safety, but it didn't speak well to long-term durability. The straps also got twisted fairly regularly, which was a pain to correct. The car seat was fairly easy to install and the safety features were consistent with our needs. Buyers with smaller backseats, or passengers and drivers who need extra legroom, should be aware that this seat may not be a good fit.
This is a great quality convertible car seat that's easy to install and use, with one frustrating issue: the straps twist a couple times a week, making it harder to loosen them when getting my daughter out. I've even removed the shoulder pads thinking they might be causing it, but no luck. My other convertible car seat has never had this problem, so it's noticeable. Beyond the straps, I really love this seat. The cushioning is incredibly soft, and I feel confident in the safety it provides around my 13-month-old. Installation is super easy. I can take it out and switch vehicles by myself without needing my husband's help. All the adjustments, including the back extension I haven't needed yet, appear very easy to maneuver. The fabric is machine washable, and I've had no problems getting stains out. One thing worth knowing: if you have a large SUV with high-set captain's chairs in the back, getting your child in and out can be tricky without bumping their head on the roof. A regular car that sits lower to the ground makes it much easier. I've been using this seat for about six months now, and overall it's a very good quality car seat that feels safe and secure.
This car seat is super lightweight, affordable, and easy to move between vehicles quickly. Adjusting the strap length as my son grows is really simple. The one big issue is the area where you thread the seatbelt through. It's really small and hard to fit your hands in, which makes installation frustrating. That's something I wish I'd known beforehand, so if you need help installing it, plan for that. My son is 3½ and we've been using this seat for a while now. It looks nice and gets the job done, but that tight seatbelt area is worth knowing about before you buy.
This is a premium, comfortable car seat, but make sure you consider the size before buying, especially if you have a smaller vehicle. It's really bulky and large, which made it very difficult to get my son in and out of our old car without smacking his head on the door frame. The gap between the seat and the door was so narrow that it put a lot of strain on my back, especially when he didn't want to cooperate. Now that we have a minivan, it works great. We've been using it since my son grew out of his newborn carrier, and he's two now. It was super easy to install and we haven't had to adjust it yet since he's a pretty slow grower. The installation is on par with most car seats I've seen. It definitely feels like a premium seat and he's comfortable in it.
This car seat feels noticeably higher quality than others we compared it to, which felt really cheap in comparison. We've been using the Maxi Cosi Pria All in One for a few months with our one-year-old and it's been great so far. Installation was pretty easy, and I like how simple it is to adjust as my child grows. It feels very safe and comfortable, especially on long rides.
This is a great forward-facing car seat. It's easy to install, stays secure, and the harness adjusts easily to get the straps right where they need to go. I've been using it for about six months with my son, who is almost 3 and weighs about 24-25 pounds. The fabric cleans up perfectly. My son got chocolate ice cream all over the cover and it came out with no issues. It doesn't fade or peel, stains come out easily, and the cover is easy to get on and off. That's been important since I have the light-colored version and kids are messy. Setup was very self-explanatory. Everything comes in the directions manual. The only thing you really need to pay attention to is following the requirements for forward-facing versus rear-facing. I do have another convertible car seat that rotates, and I prefer that one for rear-facing. For forward-facing, though, I really like this one. It fits perfectly for that purpose. No issues with the reclining position either. I think as a rear-facing seat it would be a little harder to work with, but that's just my personal preference. I really like it so far.
This car seat is easy to install and the cover is incredibly easy to remove and wash, which is a huge win for a child who gets carsick frequently. We've been using the Maxi Cosi Pria as our daughter's primary convertible car seat, and while it's a solid seat that seems just as safe as our others, we've run into a few fit issues that keep it from being our favorite. The seatbelt install is simple and quick, and we've found it gives a much tighter fit than the lower tethers. The belt path is easy to manage, and the manual is straightforward for both install methods. Our daughter is within the weight limits, so we switched to the seatbelt install and it's worked great. The recline adjustments are also easy to use. The chest clip, however, feels much larger than what we're used to. It's more uncomfortable for my daughter and tricky to position correctly because it's hard to tell if it's sitting too high or too low. We've used one or two other brands of convertible seats, and our preferred one is more comfortable for her and easier to get a tight install on overall. One nice thing is that the seat is fairly light compared to our other convertible car seats, so it could be a good option for traveling, though we haven't tried that yet. We use it every day, and my favorite thing remains how simply the cover comes off and goes back on. For a parent dealing with frequent car sickness, that alone makes it worth considering.
This is by far the best car seat we've ever used, and we tried three others before finding it. The Maxi Cosi Pria is incredibly plush and cushioned throughout, unlike our previous car seats that were basically plastic or metal bases with thin fabric laid over the top. My son used to scream and cry on car rides, and I never understood why until I took those old seats apart and saw how little padding they had. With this one, he actually enjoys car rides and hasn't cried once. The transition from rear-facing to forward-facing was shockingly easy. My husband figured it out and said it took him less than five seconds. There are clear step-by-step instructions right along the side of the seat, plus the full manual if you want to double-check. That ease of switching has been a huge game changer for us since we sometimes need to pull the car seat out to make room for family members. The safety features really stand out. This car seat feels incredibly secure and never budges when we move it around. With our other seats, there was always wiggle room that made me nervous. I also love how well it fits in the car when rear-facing. With previous car seats, I had to push the passenger seat almost all the way to the dashboard to maintain the required gap between the front seat and the car seat. With the Pria, it reclines at such a good angle that there's plenty of space between the front seat and the car seat without sacrificing my son's legroom or the passenger's comfort. I honestly don't know how they engineered that, but it makes a big difference, especially if you don't have a large vehicle. We've used it since my little one was rear-facing, and knowing it will grow with him and last gives me so much peace of mind. We absolutely love this car seat.
We love the Maxi Cosi Pria All-in-One in my husband's Toyota Tacoma. Installation was effortless, took about five minutes, and the seat feels very secure and sturdy with zero shifting when our daughter is in it. She's 17 months old and has been using it rear-facing for the past six months. Since the original install was so easy, I expect the transition to forward-facing will be seamless when she's ready. Fitting it in the Tacoma's backseat works well. My husband does have to move the passenger seat up, but the passenger still has plenty of legroom. The seat is also very aesthetically pleasing. We haven't had to convert it yet, so I can't compare it to other convertible car seats in that regard, but we're really happy with the rear-facing setup and excited to turn it around when the time comes.
Great car seat for the price. It's easy to install, easy to adjust as my child grows, and easy to clean since both the cupholders and the cover are removable. We've used it rear facing and forward facing and loved it in both positions. My three-year-old has taken long road trips in this seat and never once complained about discomfort, which gives me confidence in both the comfort and the safety. Compared to others on the market, it's a solid choice for daily use.
Great quality car seat for forward-facing toddlers, but I wouldn't recommend it for rear-facing use. We tried many ways and watched numerous videos on how to get it tighter in the rear-facing position, but it just didn't seem secure enough, with a lot of room left to move side to side. That said, as a forward-facing seat it was pretty easy to install and feels like a luxury seat for toddlers. I've been using this for my three-year-old for about six months and she seems very comfortable in it. I love the looks of it. I think it's best for children over 40 pounds who are able to be forward facing. Definitely read the manual so you know it's in the correct position and safest configuration for your size baby or toddler.
