For normal outings, though, it absolutely does the job. I've recommended this product to anyone who asks and have been very pleased with it.

It's gentle enough to put on my baby's skin, which is a big deal for me. The scent is extremely subtle and pleasant, never overwhelming. I typically need to reapply at least once during an evening, and if I'm still feeling bug bites I'll apply again. One or two applications should be sufficient for most outings. I tend to use it during the evenings or when we're out in grassy or woodsy areas. I'm not sure if the continued bites are because I'm not covering every open part of my skin or if the product just isn't fully effective against all types of bugs. I'll still continue to use it because I do feel fewer bites overall, and I really value that it's natural and safe for my whole family. If natural ingredients matter to you, it's definitely worth trying, but don't expect it to work as well as stronger chemical repellents.
