Not my favorite high chair. The biggest issue is the clips simply don't hold securely. My two-year-old can push up on the footrest and loosen it with basic outward force, which means she can get out of the chair no problem. I'd really like to see a different clip design because that's a genuine safety concern. The footrest also keeps falling off even when locked into place, and my little ones have fallen because of it. It's easy to reattach, but that doesn't help if a toddler doesn't catch themselves when it drops out unexpectedly. On the positive side, cleaning is very quick since it's all plastic. Just a quick wipe down to clean, and the single pad washes easily. It's a simple, low-profile high chair that would be perfect for a lot of families. The stance of the feet is very wide, so it takes up more floor space than you might expect, but it's sturdy in that regard. I've been using this with my two-year-old twins for a couple of months now. Measured against other high chairs, it's okay. For a family like ours with so many kids, we need something more durable and secure.

I'd give this a 3 out of 5 stars, mostly because the tray is extremely inconvenient to remove. The hooks on the sides require you to turn them almost 90 degrees straight up, so anything not stuck to the tray falls onto your baby, the floor, or back into the chair. You basically have to clean the whole chair at once or pick off all the large food pieces before attempting to remove the tray, otherwise it flips food everywhere and creates a bigger mess. Other than that, it's a well-built high chair. The harder plastic is really nice because in the summertime we just take it out back, spray it down, and leave it to dry. The cushion insert is comfortable, and our baby sits in it well without even needing to be strapped in. It stores easily too. The legs come off simply and it slides out of the way without much trouble. We've been using it with our almost-one-year-old and plan to keep using it until he outgrows it and moves to a booster seat. It's a solid chair that stores well, it just doesn't clean well.
For the price, this highchair is unbeatable. It's very stable, easy to set up, and easy to clean. The tray is actually easier to use than some of our more expensive highchairs. We liked it so much that we gave it to our parents to keep at their house for when our kid visits, and it gets used daily. Everything is just easy. It works and it isn't confusing compared to some of the bigger brands designed to grow with your child throughout their entire life. This one is specific and fits our child's needs right now. It does need quite a bit of storage space when folded, but once it's set up, the footprint is not that big at all.
There are better highchairs out there for less money, and the quality here doesn't justify what you pay. It doesn't feel as sturdy as it should, the seat cushion is too flat, and the whole thing is a bit flimsy. I also wish the fabric wasn't that plastic-y material. I'd much prefer something like cotton or linen with more padding. That said, it is easy to clean and my baby does like sitting in it. But she's been in it since about six months old and at nearly 11 months she's already outgrowing it, so the usable window feels short. The highchair I have at home I definitely prefer because it grows with her. Storage could be better on this one, though it hasn't been a real issue since I just leave it in place. After doing more research, I realized there are more solid choices out there for cheaper.
This highchair worked fine at first, but once my daughter got bigger and more mobile, it just wasn't stable enough. Without a 3-point or 5-point harness, she could easily tip it and get out of it. She actually got two legs off the floor once and we caught it just in time before it went all the way down. By 10 months old, we realized it wasn't going to work anymore, and we've since put it away now that she's a year old. It is easy to clean, lightweight, and simple to set up and stack against the wall. For a younger, less mobile baby it's convenient, but the durability and stability for an older child just aren't there.
This highchair is practical, easy to maneuver, and most importantly, easy to clean after mealtimes. A wet wipe is all it takes. The seat insert comes on and off easily for washing. Assembly was simple, and it's light enough to move around wherever it's needed, which is great in a busy household. Removing the tray to clean can be a bit tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes easy. The chair has also been great growing with my little one. We've been using it for about four months now, and he's had significant growth spurts since we started. The chair continues to work just fine.
This highchair is flimsy, cheap-feeling, and the tray is nearly impossible to remove. We've had multiple adults try and the only way to get it off is with so much force it feels like you're going to break the chair. We've resorted to just slipping my daughter in and out of it, which won't work as she gets bigger. I keep it at my parents' house as a backup chair for visits a couple days at a time, maybe twice a month, and for that limited purpose it's functional. I wouldn't recommend it though. The lightweight build isn't a positive here, it just feels cheap. It does the job in a pinch, but that's about all I can say for it.
The tray on this high chair lifts up instead of sliding out, which means food spills into the seat after every single meal. It's messy enough that I'd rather clean it outside than inside the house. I wish I'd gone with a high chair that has a traditional pull-out tray. The seat itself is hard and uncomfortable. I wouldn't want to sit on it. The seat cover could use more cushioning, and it's not easy to take on and off for cleaning, which is frustrating given how often it needs to be washed. On the plus side, it's very stable. We've had no issues with tipping, breaking down, or any structural problems. Setup was easy. It holds up well with daily use over the past six months. It also doesn't take up much space and looks good tucked in a corner. But the tray design and cleanup hassle make mealtimes a chore.
The small seat size is perfect for younger babies learning to eat, but the non-removable fabric straps made us throw it away after about six months of use. They get incredibly gross and are nearly impossible to clean. I tried flipping the chair upside down and soaking the straps in soapy water, spraying and wiping them down, but they still ended up stained and dingy. If those straps were rubber or any wipeable material, this would be a 10 out of 10 product. Where this highchair really shines is the fit. My baby is skinny but on the taller side, and most highchairs on the market are oversized since they're designed to grow with the child. He'd lean to the side and slide around in bigger seats. The Canteen's smaller seat with the added padding held him perfectly as he started eating. It's also very lightweight and easy to move around. I used this from when my son was about 5 months old until 11+ months. It's a great option for smaller babies, but the cleanup issue is a dealbreaker long-term.
I highly recommend this high chair. It's so easy to clean, especially when I remove the fabric seat. Baby loves it and has started eating comfortably sitting in it. We've had it for a few months now and use it daily with zero frustrations. I can't think of anything I'd want improved.
The Cosco Canteen Highchair is stable and comfortable, but the tray is frustratingly difficult to remove. When we tried to take it off, it actually snapped where it connects, so we don't even bother removing it anymore. That means I mostly just wipe it down instead of putting the tray in the dishwasher like it's designed for. The other drawback is that it doesn't fold up, so it has to stay out all the time and takes up space. Setup was easy, and we've been using it once or twice daily since we received it. Other than those issues, there's nothing really wrong with it.
This highchair works perfectly for my one-year-old son. It's lightweight, sturdy, and incredibly easy to clean. I just wipe it down with a cleaning rag and everything glides right off, unlike my daughter's highchair which needs spray and multiple wipes. I've been using it for about six months, every meal and snack, so roughly five times a day. One thing to note is that it does run small. My son fits perfectly at 13 months, but my two-and-a-half-year-old daughter wouldn't be able to fit into it. So it's ideal for younger toddlers and babies, but don't expect it to last as long as a bigger highchair might.
The tray is the biggest issue with this highchair. Getting it off requires tilting it back and lifting, which makes cleanup a real hassle compared to highchairs where you just click two side buttons and lift straight up. It's so difficult to remove that it feels like I'm going to snap the plastic every time. My daughter is a little over a year old and she struggled to fit comfortably in the leg openings. I do like the design, and it's easy to take apart for travel, but it doesn't feel very durable long term. Every time I disassemble and reassemble it, it feels like something's going to break. I plan to try it with my next kiddo, and if he isn't as thick as his sister, hopefully the leg openings won't be an issue. The rest of the highchair comes apart and goes back together pretty easily. It's really just the tray area that's the problem.
I am absolutely in love with this highchair. It's luxurious, comfortable, lightweight, and so easy to clean. I just wipe it up and down with a Clorox wipe or a sponge sometimes , the material makes it even easier to clean after my baby is done eating. I've had it for eight months now and use it every single day. I wouldn't change a thing about it. My baby loves it too.
This highchair outranks every other one I've used. Cleanup is amazing: the tray wipes down easily, and the straps have less texture than other highchairs so they don't get gunked up. They also pop right out for a quick wash in the sink, unlike other highchairs where removing the straps is a mess. Assembly took less than five minutes, and as someone who usually makes her husband put everything together, I was pleasantly surprised. I have two kids, a 20-month-old and an 8-month-old, and both have used it for three to four months now. They seem to really like it. The height sits pretty level with a standard dining room table, which is great for family meals. If you have a very tall dining table it might be a little short, though that could partly be because my kids are small and don't sit very high up yet. For everyday use and hanging out in the kitchen while I cook, it's perfect with countertops and everything being even. My one complaint is the footrest. The bottom step where kids rest their feet pops off the rail too easily. If my daughter tries to use it to climb up, it just comes right off, so that's something to watch out for. I'd recommend this highchair for anyone on the go who needs something fast, easy to clean, and ready to use.
The Cosco Canteen is easy to clean and maintain, but a few design issues hold it back. The tray feels small. My infant does fine with his smaller meals, but when I put my toddler's plate and snacks on it, everything feels crammed. The tray also doesn't stay clipped onto the back of the chair legs the way it's supposed to. If my dogs or kids walk by, it falls right off. I wish that attachment was designed more securely. Cleaning is where this chair really shines. A quick wipe down and everything comes off. The seat cushion is machine washable and dries super quickly, so it always looks clean. Seat comfort and safety features feel comparable to other high chairs I've tested. No one's going anywhere. It does feel a little wobbly when my kids sit in it, though. I don't think they'll fall out, but I wish it felt more stable. I've had it about four months and my infant uses it almost daily. I'm already noticing the plastic starting to flex and turn white in the sections where it attaches, like it's overstretching. It hasn't affected how it functions yet, but it makes me wonder about long-term durability.
This highchair has been a great addition to our dining room. We've used it since my daughter was about 10 months old, and now at almost 2 she's still in it every day. It works great as a booster seat now. I just took the tray off and pull her right up to the dining room table where she uses a plate like the rest of us. It's really easy to clean: after every meal I wipe it down with some wipes, and once a week I scrub it with a sponge, soap, and water. She's comfortable buckled in, and the footrest makes it safe for babies, especially if you're doing baby-led weaning. It barely takes up any space and fits perfectly in the corner of our dining room. I honestly can't think of anything I'd improve.
