These Chuck Taylor All Star Dainty Mary Jane Beads have been a great everyday shoe. They're comfortable right out of the box and stay that way after months of frequent wear. I'm a size 7.5, sometimes an 8 depending on the shoe, and these fit perfectly. The beaded detail is cute and makes them look different from typical Chuck Taylors. My biggest concern was that the beads might snag, especially since I've worn these through multiple terrains and conditions, including forest treks, hikes, jogs, and road walks. They haven't snagged once and have held up perfectly. No visible damage to this day. The strap stays put too. They're lightweight, durable, and easy to slip on. I reach for them frequently for casual outings like grocery runs and quick errands. It's been a great shoe overall.

These shoes are really comfortable and offer a unique style that works as a dressier alternative to plain sneakers. The beaded details are pretty and have held up well over a few months of wear. My only issue is the fit. They run a little big, especially up front, on my not-narrow-but-not-wide feet. I haven't tried sizing down, but I imagine that would help. Because of the loose fit, I don't reach for them as often as I'd like. I've worn them a few times out to dinner or brunch when I want something casual but a step up from sneakers.
The design is great, with beads on the upper that add a romantic touch, and they'd make great summer shoes. Unfortunately, they run small. My usual Converse size feels too tight, and even after wearing them for several months I'm still uncomfortable. I hardly reach for this pair because of the fit. I recommend sizing up.
I really enjoy the fit and look of these shoes, but cleaning around the beads takes more effort than I'd like. After getting some mud underneath the beads, I used a soft bristle toothbrush and a magic eraser, which worked well but required extra elbow grease. I'm still figuring out the best way to keep them clean overall. I wear them about once a week depending on my outfit and have had them for about two months now. Still very much enjoying them.
These Mary Janes are far too tight across the bridge of the foot, and they never really broke in. I normally wear a seven or seven and a half in Converse, and while the length was perfect, the width was painfully narrow from the start. The longer I wear them, the worse it gets. The beads have held up pretty well through five or six wears, but I can only use these for short, specific outings before taking them off the moment I get home. The shoe itself got softer over time, but the width never loosened up enough to be comfortable for all-day wear.
These shoes are comfortable, lightweight, and versatile enough to wear with jeans, shorts, or even dressed up. The beading detail isn't overboard but just enough to make them stand out. They're true to size, have nice grip while walking, and don't rub on my heel. I've worn them several times over the last few months and they feel the same every time. The shoe is holding together well. I typically wear tennis shoes, so Mary Janes are a different style for me, but I really like these.
These shoes look adorable with the bead detail, but they run big and rub painfully on the heel. I typically wear a size 8 in Converse with no issues, but these needed a 7.5 to fit properly. They're noticeably looser and the heel area lacks any padding, which makes them rough to break in. I've tried wearing them 8-10 times because they're so cute, but most of those attempts ended with me swapping them out before leaving the house. The two times I actually wore them to work, I regretted it both times and ended up taking them off at my desk. I've tried putting band-aids on my heels to cushion the rubbing, but the material still irritates. The comfort level hasn't improved with wear. The Mary Jane strap design also means you can't really wear socks to pad things out without ruining the look. I'd love to see some heel padding added to this style. If you're considering these, I'd definitely recommend sizing down a half size.
I wouldn't change a thing about these shoes. They're a great casual option to dress up a little outfit on a spring or summer day. I've had them for four to five months and wear them a couple days a week around town. As a homeschooling mom, I'm always on the go doing activities with the kids, and they hold up well for that kind of wear.
These are a great quality shoe with fantastic durability once you break them in. Converse tend to run small, and that's true here too, so I recommend going up at least a half size. Breaking them in took about four or five wears, which for me meant thick socks and walking around the house and outside. I've had them about a month and a half now and wear them once or twice a week. The material is that tough All-Star standard and has held up really well through plenty of wear and tear. I still love the color, and you can dress them up or down. The beads on the strap over the front are a cute touch that makes them look sporty but not as sporty as a normal high-top Converse.
