The Brooks Glycerin Max 2s are incredibly comfortable and have genuinely made my runs feel easier. The cushioning is noticeably more than other running shoes I've used in the past, and there's this rocking chair motion when my foot hits the ground that makes each stride smoother. I run every day, both on the treadmill and outside, and they perform great for both. Durability has been solid. I've been wearing these for several months now and they still look pretty new. Zero blisters or discomfort with the fit and arch support. I did get a side blister early on, but that turned out to be my socks, not the shoe. Once I switched to decent running socks, I haven't had an issue since. The only real downside is that these are strictly a running shoe. When I've tried doing lifts in them, they don't perform well at all. But for what they're designed for, they deliver. I plan to keep wearing these, and when they wear out I'll definitely be buying another pair.

The Brooks Glycerin Max 2 has honestly become my everyday go-to shoe, and the cushioning is the biggest reason why. It takes so much stress off my feet that I don't feel nearly as tired at the end of the day. Compared to my previous shoes, which had minimal cushioning and weren't breathable, this is a massive upgrade. I've tried the Hoka Bondi and Clifton before. The Glycerin Max 2 has more cushion than the Clifton and feels more stable than the Bondi, even with the thick max cushion. Some max cushion shoes from other brands can be too soft or unstable, but these feel balanced, smooth, and stable when I run. Even though it's a max cushion shoe, it doesn't feel super heavy or bulky, which I really appreciate. The fit is nice and secure without being too tight. It's also very breathable. With my previous shoes, my feet would get sweaty and tired all the way down to the toes after work. That's not an issue anymore. I'm a casual runner, but I'm on my feet constantly. At school, I'm a sonography student and have to scan patients while standing for about 30 to 60 minutes per patient. At work, I'm walking around and lifting heavy stuff. These shoes handle all of it. I also use them for light hooping and running. So far, the durability has been good even with daily use. I'd recommend these for casual running, light to medium exercises, and probably light hiking too. Not everyone may prefer a max-thick cushion, so I'd encourage trying them on first. Overall, it's just a really comfortable and reliable shoe I can count on for pretty much anything.
Incredibly comfortable even after a 12-hour shift on hard concrete hospital floors. Other shoes I've worn lacked the arch support I needed, and my back and feet would often be in pain after a long day. With the Brooks Max 2, I don't have that issue at all. I've had them for about three months now and there's no noticeable wear or tear. I've even washed them and they come clean like brand new. The shoes do have quite a bit of height to them, so it takes a little getting used to if you're not familiar with a thicker foam sole. Overall, they're holding up wonderfully.
A great pure performance running shoe for medium to long runs, but definitely not an everyday walking shoe. The cushioning and forward-leaning construction make you feel like you're being propelled forward while running, which is exactly what you want. When you slow down or walk, though, it feels like you're going to fall forward, and that sensation never fully goes away. I love how light they are, and the fit around the foot feels great. The design is very minimalist but still stylish, and I love the color. The support while running is excellent. That said, there's essentially no ankle support, so I'd keep these on paved trails or tracks that are relatively flat. Nothing too treacherous. On uneven terrain you might end up rolling your ankle because of the cushioning. The forward-leaning feel was completely new to me. I've worn shoes with similar foam padding and lightness where you feel very bouncy, but I'd never experienced a shoe that actively propels you forward with each step. It takes about two to three minutes of walking to get somewhat used to it, but it still feels weird on foot when you're not running. If you're a first-time buyer, make sure you're comfortable with a pure performance shoe. For runners who don't run often or don't do longer distances, a more hybrid shoe would be more adequate. I probably wouldn't wear these for anything other than actual running. But for that purpose, they're a great shoe overall.
The cushioning comfort on these is exceptional, beyond any shoe I've ever worn, and I've run many marathons and half marathons in my career. Arch support is great too. I have high arches and these give me exactly what I need. Traction and grip have been fantastic. I never have to worry about where I'm stepping, whether it's dirt or potholes. I've put roughly 50 to 60 miles on them over the past few months, running every other day for about three to five miles on streets and in the park. They've held up through mud and rain with zero durability concerns. I really have no areas needed for improvement. One thing to know is that because they have extra cushioning, it does take some time to get adjusted if you're not used to that maximum amount of cushion. Once you break in, though, these are phenomenal shoes.
The Brooks Glycerin Max 2 is a really comfortable shoe that I prefer more for walking than running. The cushioning is excellent, but in my experience it feels less stable than a shoe with less cushioning, especially when I'm running. On the treadmill specifically, the rocker bottom makes me feel unstable. It's not as much of an issue on the road or trail, but I definitely don't care for it on the treadmill. I don't mind running in them, I just don't prefer to. The fit is very true to size with good spacing in the toe box and solid arch support. I've never had any blisters or hot spots. I typically run between 10 and 20 miles a week, split between walking and running, and for the walking portion these are great. I just personally feel the stability is better suited for walking than running because of all that extra cushioning.
The Brooks Glycerin Max 2 delivers excellent cushioning that has noticeably reduced my knee discomfort after runs. I'm still running in them every single day and really enjoy wearing them. I run three to four miles a day on roads around my neighborhood, mostly jogging at an easy pace, and these shoes let me run longer with less hurt afterward compared to any other shoes I've worn. The arch support is great, and there are no noticeable pressure points or pain. They fit really well overall, though the toe box runs a bit narrow and snug on top compared to wider running shoes I've had. It's not a dealbreaker, but if I could get the wide model, I think I could even go down a half size and get a better fit. Durability has been solid through roughly 200 miles so far. My one concern is that the rubber tread on the outsole is very thin and is already starting to wear through, even though the foam underneath is so thick that the shoe clearly has a lot of life left. If that rubber sole were a little thicker, these could last even longer. I really can't think of any other disappointments. The shoes have been great.
These shoes are extremely comfortable, with a super soft bottom that still provides the stability I need despite the thicker platform. I've been wearing them for months now and the quality holds up excellent. I use them about equally for weightlifting and casual wear. For weight training, the platform is wide enough to give me the ankle protection I need during deadlifts and heavier squats. They're also very comfortable for running and help me with the mid-foot strike I usually prefer. On top of all that, they look stylish, so I wear them on casual weekend strolls, beach walks, and grocery shopping. They have so many different purposes that they work for. You may need a day or two to get used to the thicker platform and the different feel, but you adjust quite quickly. Now they're one of my favorite shoes.
These shoes are incredibly comfortable, like walking on clouds, but they're not the pair you want for fast, goal-oriented runs. The cushioning and thick soles provide so much support that they're my go-to for long days on my feet at work, extended walks, and light runs. My feet are always happy after a full day in these. If you're looking for a lightweight running sneaker, these are not that. They're clunkier and heavier because of all that cushioning, which makes them feel a little slower on runs. My feet also feel less supported on landing from each step because the sole is so thick. When I'm really trying to hit my running goals, I reach for something lighter so I can feel quick on my feet. I've been wearing them for about six months now and they've held up beautifully. I've washed them a couple times and they cleaned up nicely. They excel in comfort and support, just know that's their strength, not speed.
