Extremely comfortable for shorter runs. These shoes are snug, light, and cushioned without feeling heavy or bulky. They stick to my foot and don't slide around, and I can still feel contact with the ground while landing softly. The lacing system and that extra tongue create a really good fit. I typically run three to five miles every other day, and for that daily usage they've been really nice. I like how light they are compared to my other shoes. I have a few Nikes, and those sometimes feel bulky because they try to pack in a lot more cushion, but the Glycerin Flex hits the right balance of weight, cushion, and snugness. They look great and move with your feet. I haven't tested them on anything in the double digits yet, so I still need to see how they hold up on longer runs.

These shoes fit true to size, offer great cushion, and move with my foot in a way that prevents the rubbing, blisters, and soreness you get from stiffer shoes. They're especially good if your knees are more sensitive. I run medium distances and have logged about 60 miles in a week. The cushion has pounded down a little bit, but they're still comfortable and pretty comparable to, if not more cushy than, my previous shoes. I haven't experienced any issues with how they fit.
These are great running shoes for dry conditions on roads. They flex naturally with your stride without trying to correct anything, which makes them feel really comfortable. They're true to size, nice and snug, with good breathability, a comfortable tongue, and solid lacing. I typically run 10 to 15 miles a week, and I've been using these for a few months now with no signs of breakdown so far. In dry weather they perform right there in the mix with my other running shoes, which are also Brooks. Where they fall short is wet conditions. Whether it's a heavy downpour, morning rain, or just heavy dew, they get slippery, especially in my area where the roads are a bit hillier. For wet days I switch to a trail-style shoe with more grip. I also wouldn't take these on trails at all. I have dedicated trail running shoes for that. Before buying, understand your own running style. If you need a shoe that's flexible enough to let your body move naturally, these are a solid pick. If you need something intended to correct your gait or body movements, look elsewhere. They're not my only running shoes, but for dry road runs I'm pretty happy with them.
These are incredibly comfortable running shoes that feel great right out of the box with zero break-in period. My feet don't hurt after running a couple miles, and they feel more comfortable and flexible than other running shoes I've tried in the past. The sole is very soft with no restrictions, and they're holding up very well with daily use. I love the way they look, but more importantly I love how they feel on my feet. The only downside is they get dirty easily and are somewhat hard to keep clean, but that has nothing to do with performance. I wear them every morning for my run and highly recommend them.
These shoes completely changed my running. I have high arches and used to come back from long runs with excruciating knee pain and arch pain to the point where I had to start cutting back. With the Glycerin Flex, I come back with absolutely no pain. They've given me the support and cushion I've always needed and allowed me to get my hobby back. I've been wearing them for months, easily dozens of runs, maybe over a hundred, and they feel just as good as the first day. The support has really held up with no issues at all. I've tried other shoes in the past, and none gave the arch support I needed. I'd get back from a run with inner knee pain and arch pain, and I'm not quite sure if the arch issue was leading to the knee pain, but as soon as I got these shoes both problems completely went away. Break-in was also surprisingly easy. Other running shoes I've owned have really hurt for a few days, but these were fine within about a day. I wore them around the house for one day before going out road running in them, and after that they were great. I'm a trail and road runner and we live in an area where we're fortunate to have both. Now I'm able to go for my long runs, enjoy time in nature, and come back pain-free. I never want to use any other shoes ever again.
The flexibility of the cushion in the Glycerin Flex is what really sets it apart. You can move your foot so freely, and it's not as confining as other cushioned shoes when your foot strikes, especially on the front of your foot. It's a unique feeling I haven't experienced in any other shoe. I've tried the Ghost Maxx before, and because the Glycerin Flex is so flexible, it feels more comfortable and more adaptable. I've also had a couple of other brands that maybe have a little more cushion, but the flexibility here makes it seem extra comfortable. I've been running in these for a few months now, and I've appreciated the comfort and cushioning more and more over time. The break-in period was pretty short, and once it was over, they've felt really comfortable on my feet. I'm a pretty casual runner, typically running five days a week for 30 minutes to an hour, anywhere from a little over three miles to about six miles. I mostly run on roads and sidewalks, and they also handle gravel paths well. The one thing I'll mention is that the deep flex channels in the sole pick up small gravel and rocks pretty easily. It's not a discomfort thing at all. Sometimes when you're running you hear a little click, click, click sound, and you realize a piece of gravel is stuck in there. Occasionally if I don't notice it and get in my car, the gravel comes out on the floorboards of my driver's seat. It's mostly just a minor clean-up thing, and sometimes I have to stop and dislodge a bigger piece, but it's really not bad. I'm going to continue wearing these. They're a great shoe to run in, and I'm very happy with them.
Super comfortable with extra cushion that gives me a real bounce in my step while running. Since wearing the Brooks Glycerin Flex, I haven't had any foot pain or difficulty adjusting, which is a big deal because I dealt with plantar fasciitis for a long time before these. They make my workouts feel more enjoyable and go by quicker. Compared to other running shoes I've owned, these give me noticeably more spring. I've been wearing them for the past few months and they look great too. If this is your first time buying Brooks, I found these fit true to size and are true to description.
These shoes are fine.
If you need a daily runner, these shoes work really, really well. The Glycerin Flex feels great, with plenty of cushion and a nice bounce that's especially good for higher tempo, shorter distance runs. I've been running in them for about two months now, typically 15 miles a week on roads and crushed gravel trails, and they've held up really well. I wear a size 12 and the fit is spot on. No complaints about how my feet or legs feel during or after a run. I've tried different brands over the years and have worn Brooks specifically in the past. These are a different type of shoe than my old Brooks pair, but I like them just as much. They're as good as any daily running shoe I've ever worn. I will say they seem to shine most on higher tempo days where I'm going for shorter bursts at higher speed, rather than longer grinding runs. That little extra bounce really comes through when you pick up the pace.
The Brooks Glycerin Flex are the most comfortable and supportive running shoes I've owned, and they've become the only pair I reach for over all my other brands. The cushioning is incredible. Every time my foot hits the ground, it feels like it bounces me right back up into the next stride. The fit is snug around my whole foot, not just one area, which gives it that locked-in, supportive feel. I've had them for quite a few months now and they're barely broken in, yet I haven't experienced any discomfort at all. The support and cushioning haven't changed one bit since I got them. I'm not a hardcore runner, just getting into running a few miles each week, and they've made it so easy to stick with it. They're also very flexible, which I appreciate. Beyond running, I wear them for daily activities too. I'm a mom of six kids, so I'm constantly on the go, whether it's grocery shopping, keeping up at sports events, running to and from town, or hitting trails with the kids. They've been great through all of it. I love the style and I'm already planning to grab another pair in a different color just to switch things up. I'd highly recommend them, especially for a first-time runner looking for comfort, support, and a perfect fit.
These shoes are pretty perfect as far as running shoes go. They're super comfortable, with really good ankle and heel support and cushion that holds up over time. I've been wearing them for months now, and they're still as comfortable as they were the first time I put them on. I'm a weekly runner, typically around 20 miles a week if not more, and some weeks I run up to 50 miles. In other running shoes my heels can get pretty fatigued, but with these I haven't noticed any fatigue in my heels or my feet. They work well on all kinds of surfaces. I run on asphalt, cement, turf, and track, and I even hike in them. I really like the look of them too. They're stylish, the laces tie up well, and they stay tied. The only negative thing I can say is that the white fabric can dirty pretty easily, but that's about it. These shoes are great from the first time you put them on up until the 100th time you've worn them.
