The Brooks Dash Short is a great training short that I'd highly recommend. The fit is excellent, staying in place and moving with your body whether you're running or doing a strength workout. The waistband is a little thicker than some shorts, so it doesn't cut into your sides and stays comfortable throughout your run. The material is a bit more structured and not as stretchy or flexible as some other athletic shorts I've worn, but that didn't impact performance at all. I used these for training runs anywhere from three miles up to five to eight miles while preparing for a half marathon, and they performed well across the board. The fabric has held up nicely after multiple washes with no issues. The print is fun and easily visible, which is great for runners on the road. The pockets are handy for carrying smaller items like keys, gummies, or a gel pack. Overall a great fit and very comfortable. I've had my fair share of experience with different athletic shorts and this pair is a winner.

These shorts are comfortable and hold up great through workouts, playing with the kids, and repeated washing. They don't ride up, which is really nice, and the moisture wicking works well. The length is a little shorter than I normally go for, but it doesn't really bother me. One sizing note: I'd say they run a little small in the waist, though the thighs fit great. I wear them whether I'm walking, playing outside with the kids, or working out, and they're perfect for all of it.
These shorts are great for running, with a comfortable leg fit that allows natural movement, excellent breathability in the heat, and solid moisture-wicking. I had zero chafing or riding up over about 10 runs. The all black pair looks sleek with any printed top. My one issue is the waist runs a little tight. If you carry more in your midsection than your hips, the fit can be uncomfortable, and sizing up would make the hips and bottom too big. Something to keep in mind when choosing your size.
Really comfortable shorts with a longer, looser fit that I prefer as I get older. The inseam and rise are longer than other athletic shorts I own, sitting right above my knees and providing full coverage. That looser fit means no chafing at all when I'm walking or running, which is a big deal for me. The fabric is super lightweight, holds up well, and wicks enough moisture that I never have any issues. I typically wear these once a week for circuit-style training mixed with some treadmill running, and I also do a lot of outdoor walking on trails and with my family. Durability has been great so far. Overall I'm very satisfied and plan to keep them in my weekly rotation.
