This jacket is a must-buy for outdoor running. It's semi-fitted but roomy in all the right places, and I've been wearing it a couple of times a week for six months now. I layered it with a long sleeve shirt in winter and switched to a short sleeve once spring rolled around, staying warm and comfortable either way. The sleeves have a little added length, so they stay down at the wrist without bunching up in the armpits. The hood has a great shape that molds and stays up, even when I turn my head mid-run. With the jacket zipped completely, there's a little extra fabric at the base of the hood that keeps it comfortable. The large zip pockets and reflective strips on both front and back are great additional features. I received the Midnight Run color, which is a beautiful navy. My one issue is the waterproofing. When I ran in the rain, it soaked through and left me wet. That's the only thing I'd want to see improved.

Lightweight, comfortable, and great for any outdoor walk or run. I would definitely buy again and recommend this to any active or running individuals. It fits true to size, though if you don't like something fitted I would size up. This is not a super warm jacket, but it gives just enough coverage for cooler conditions or long runs and walks. I haven't tried it out in the rain, but for wind I definitely recommend it.

The Brooks Canopy Jacket is super thin but blocks wind and rain like a champ. It fits true to size, runs easy, and kept me completely dry even in a pretty decent downpour. I'd definitely recommend it. I live in Minnesota and wore this most during early spring when temps were around 40 degrees and the winds were high. A shirt underneath plus this jacket was all I needed. I used it primarily for shorter runs, three to six miles, and it performed really well. I almost got too hot at times because it's that waterproof. Even in rain, sleet, and conditions right around freezing, I stayed super dry underneath. The pockets are a great feature because I could also wear it dropping my kids off at daycare or running quick errands where I needed to carry my wallet or phone. I've had an Eddie Bauer jacket in the past, but it wasn't tailored to running, ran a little big, and wasn't cinched at the hips, which really bugged me. The Brooks Canopy fits so much better for that purpose. The zippers seemed a little frail at first, but they've held up great. They're super lightweight, easy to use, and zip up really nice and high so you can block wind from your neck. No disappointments with durability at all. Now that the temperature is getting warmer, I don't use it primarily for running, but I still keep it in my cubby for early morning walks or runs when it's a little cooler. If you're considering buying it, just think about what season you're in and where you live. It's a really good warm-up, low-distance jacket, and I'd definitely recommend it to other people.

The Brooks Canopy Jacket is exactly what I need out of a running jacket: water resistant, breathable, and flattering all at once. Some jackets leave you feeling super sweaty underneath if they keep the water out, or they don't keep the water out at all. This one strikes a really nice compromise between the two, thanks especially to the vent in the back that keeps me from overheating. The zipping pockets are great for carrying a key or phone on a run. The fit is naturally slim, but it's flattering in the way it lays and doesn't cinch in any areas. The color is beautiful and the overall design is nicely minimalist. I've had no issues with durability so far. I've been wearing it at least once a week for about two months now, sometimes for outdoor exercise but also as an easy layer for running to the grocery store or errands because I just like the way it looks. It works best in around 50-degree weather but could go cooler with a long sleeve underneath.

This jacket runs huge. I usually wear an extra small or a small, and the small had me swimming in it. The material is also very loud and swishy, which makes me hesitant to wear it consistently. I definitely expected more from Brooks. On the plus side, it washes well and it's lightweight, but the sizing and the noisy fabric have kept me from reaching for it.
