This pillow is firm, supportive, and the belt is a game-changer. I can nurse my baby while standing and don't have to worry about taking it on and off between short-interval feeds. The large surface area lets my baby lounge comfortably, and I can nurse hands-free because he supports himself on it. There's also a raised safety edge that helps keep the baby in place. It really helps support my arms too. With my previous pillows, I always needed extra cushioning or my arms would hurt. This one is firm and thick enough to hold my arms up comfortably. It doesn't pick up dirt easily, and spot cleaning has been simple. I've been using it for about six months with ten or more feeds per day, so it's getting serious use. I loved it so much I bought one to gift a friend who just told me she's expecting.

Great craftsmanship, but this pillow's weight makes it almost impractical. I'm on my third baby and have nursed my first two for two full years each, so I'm very experienced with nursing pillows. The Boppy Complete is incredibly heavy at 3.5 pounds, and once you add a baby on top (my 10-month-old is 25 pounds), it's a lot to manage. Fresh postpartum, lifting such a heavy pillow really got to me, and that alone knocked it down almost two stars. The weight also means it runs hot. I started using it during winter and the warmth was actually nice, but in summer months it's been way too hot and heavy. I was also dealing with the postpartum night sweats that are so common early on, which made the sweatiness even worse. The ledge was helpful in the beginning when my baby was small, keeping him from rolling off. Now that he's so big and wide, he doesn't fit in that remaining space, so it feels impractical at this stage too. Honestly, from the very beginning the fit wasn't great, and by a month or two in it was completely unusable because of his size. I also wish there was a small pocket built into the pillow, which this one lacks. I still use a nursing pillow every session at home to protect my back and posture, so it's a non-negotiable for me. You can tell the quality and craftsmanship are really great on this pillow. Unfortunately, it just wasn't the right fit for me.
This Boppy pillow is so comfortable for both me and my baby. The higher positioning makes nursing easy, and my baby loves it so much he even falls asleep on it. I've been using it for 7 months now and it's held up great. I also use it sometimes to help him sit up. Without a nursing pillow, feeding would be really uncomfortable, so this has been essential for me.
This nursing pillow is really puffy and beautiful, but the firmness makes it uncomfortable for me during longer sessions. I think anyone a bit taller would be a lot happier with it than I am. That said, I still enjoy using it for breastfeeding support during the day, which is where it's most effective for me. My baby is more flexible and willing to sit in certain positions during daytime feedings, whereas at night she just wants to lay flat and cuddle, so the pillow doesn't really come into play then. I love the fabric and the colors. I've had it for about three months and use it roughly once a week, mostly in the mornings. It's a very beautiful product and I do appreciate the support it provides, even if it's not an everyday essential for me.
The Boppy Complete Nursing Pillow is a quality product, but it falls a little flat compared to the My Breast Friend pillow, mainly because of the strap and the weight. The My Breast Friend has a more rigid strap and is lighter, so I can one-hand it around myself and get it positioned before picking up my baby. With the Boppy, the strap is floppy and harder to manage, especially in the middle of the night when every second counts with a screaming kid. Once it's clicked into place, though, it doesn't slip or shift while nursing. The Boppy does win on quality. The removable, washable cover is a major plus because if you've been nursing long enough, you will get milk thrown back up on you. I own multiple Boppy products and I do think the build quality is better than My Breast Friend overall. I keep the Boppy in one room and the My Breast Friend in another, so whichever room I'm nursing in determines which pillow I grab. I probably reach for the Boppy about 20% of the time. My baby is 9 months old now, so he can hold on and get to the breast himself, which means I don't rely on the pillow quite as much anymore. If the strap were more rigid and the pillow were lighter, it would be a much closer competition.
This is an excellent, very complete nursing pillow that I'd recommend to every breastfeeding mom, especially new moms. It's a real asset for your breastfeeding journey. The firmness is perfect since my baby is on the chunkier side. I needed something that wasn't floppy or too soft, and this actually provides real support. The height is also noticeably better compared to other nursing pillows we've tried, which has been especially helpful now that my daughter is older and positioning her during sessions takes more effort. It adjusts really well to both my body and baby's body, which is so important. The design is a nice neutral color that blends right into her nursery. We didn't want crazy bright colors, so that was a plus. My one issue is the lumbar back support for mom. I would have liked it to be thicker, taller, and wider to provide more substantial support. As it is, it's on the smaller side and tends to feel more uncomfortable than supportive. When you're breastfeeding and using that part of the pillow, instead of feeling genuine back support, it's more like something putting pressure in one specific area. That said, the buckle closure system does help with overall support. I'm a mom of three girls, all exclusively breastfed. My 11-month-old nurses on demand whether we're home or on the go for library runs and restaurants. This pillow has been a great addition to our routine.
This pillow created a comfortable, supportive environment for breastfeeding during the first couple months of my child's life. It kept my baby safely secured while providing enough back support to make those long hours of nursing more sustainable. I would have liked a little more lumbar support, but overall it made a real difference. We eventually outgrew it when we switched to bottle feeding.
This nursing pillow is amazing for new moms. The foam is very firm and supportive, and there's a little edge that keeps the baby from rolling, which gives you extra security. When you're dealing with sleep deprivation and could easily fall asleep during breastfeeding, that peace of mind matters so much. You sit down in a chair, it fits perfectly around you, and you don't have to worry about holding the baby in position the whole time. My one issue is that as your baby grows, the pillow becomes too tall. I started using it when my baby was around four to five months old, and he was already big. The firm, high foam positioned him too high, almost up at my neck instead of at my breast. My baby is almost 11 months now and still breastfeeding, but I can't really use the pillow anymore because he's just too big for it. If they made it so you could remove a layer of foam as your baby grows, it would be perfect for moms who breastfeed longer. I love firm foam in general, and this pillow feels very secure. For newborns and younger babies, I think it's a perfect product.
This pillow is comfortable, flexible, and holds up great after months of daily use. I've been breastfeeding with it every night for three to four months and haven't needed to adjust it once. I love that it's easy to carry from room to room. The little pillow edge at the top is a nice bonus because it holds my phone in place while I'm nursing. I haven't used the belt since it feels a bit inconvenient, though I could see others appreciating it for keeping the pillow secure. I also haven't removed any of the pieces yet but might in the future. My husband even borrows it every few nights to help keep our daughter napping. Still going strong and still comfortable.
The Boppy Complete Nursing Pillow fully supports my baby's weight so my arms can rest on the pillow while I feed. It keeps the baby secure while letting me stay relaxed, which has been a lifesaver during night feedings. I've used it primarily with my second born since December, starting at 4 or 5 feedings a night and now down to 1 or 2. I would prefer it to be a little softer, but that hasn't stopped me from using it.
The lumbar support on this Boppy is a game changer. My original Boppy just wrapped around the front with no back support, so it would shift and move underneath the baby, leaving me constantly adjusting my body to get comfortable. This one provided that comfort and relief right away. The firmness is noticeably better too, making my baby feel nice and secure during feedings. I've done so many feedings on this pillow and it's been fantastic. I was using it three to eight times a day depending on my infant's age, and I love the ease of wrapping it around. Now that she can drink milk on her own, I still use it as support if she falls asleep on me during a nap, and it works great for that. I've had it for almost a year and it's held up the same as when it was brand new. The colors are nice and neutral, so it works whether you're having a boy or girl, especially if you're planning on more than one. I will absolutely keep using it for my next kid.
The Boppy Nursing Pillow has been great for our family. The shape is perfect, and the supportive ridge really helps hold the baby in place, making feeding and resting so much more comfortable. It was much better than the other brand we tried, which didn't have a ridge and felt far less supportive. We've been using it since our baby was one month old, and she's now four months. We used it constantly when she was younger and still reach for it from time to time. Both mom and dad were able to use it comfortably. It also has a great design that fit well with our decor. I honestly can't think of anything I'd want to improve.
As a first-time mom combo feeding my six-month-old daughter, the Boppy Complete Nursing Pillow quickly became essential to our daily routine. I've been testing it for a few weeks now and use it for both breastfeeding sessions and bottle feeds when my husband takes over. My daughter is in the 90th percentile for weight, so finding a nursing pillow that could actually support her has been a challenge. The firmness of this pillow and the front bolster were game-changers. They hold her weight without compressing down like other pillows I've tried. I'm not constantly readjusting or propping her up with my arms, which makes a huge difference over the course of a feeding session. The lumbar cushion and adjustable belt made this much easier on my back than our previous setup. Before using this pillow, I didn't realize how much I was hunching forward during feeds. The thicker cushion brings her up to the right height so I'm not straining, and the belt keeps everything secure. I also love how portable it is. We've been bringing it outside for feeds whenever the weather is nice here in California, which has been such a mood boost. The design has been a hit with my daughter too. She loves anything patterned or geometric, so she'll stare at the pillow during feeds. I appreciate that the colors aren't super loud or in-your-face. It's visually interesting for her without clashing with everything in the house. One funny note: the fabric makes a little noise when she scratches it with her nails, and she's obsessed with it. We call it her DJ table because she loves to scratch and make her sounds while eating. It's become part of our feeding routine now. Compared to standard nursing pillows, the difference in comfort during longer sessions is noticeable. The added support means I can actually relax into the feed instead of counting down the minutes. I appreciate that I can remove the extra features and convert it to a standard Boppy as our needs change. I was given this nursing pillow to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
The Boppy Complete Nursing Pillow is sturdier and more supportive than other nursing pillows I've tried, and the lip design at the edge gave me real peace of mind with my baby. The memory foam holds its shape perfectly, doesn't deteriorate over time, and supports my baby's weight without compressing. I nursed about every two hours and used this pillow every single time. As a first-time mom, I especially appreciated the lumbar support from the back pad on the strap. It helped me sit up straighter and lessened the pain in my back during feedings. The adjustable strap is longer and more accommodating than other pillows, fitting a large range of body types. I used it on the couch, in a rocker, and even in bed, and it was easy to maneuver and take with me wherever I went. I also love that you can remove the case and wash it easily, and that it converts into a regular Boppy when you no longer need the full setup. The only downside is that it's a bit heavier than a typical nursing pillow, but the added support and security are worth it.
The Boppy Complete Nursing Pillow is beautiful and very comfortable, but it didn't work for my baby because of her size. She's in the 99th percentile for both weight and height at 10 months old, and no matter how I adjusted her on the pillow, she just couldn't get comfortable nursing on it. It was easier to nurse without it. That said, I'd still recommend it to others since the pillow itself is well made and lovely.
The Boppy Complete Nursing Pillow is genuinely great, and the standout feature is the lip on the back of the cushion. It keeps my baby exactly where she needs to be so she's not slipping or rolling off, and it also helps me figure out proper positioning in relation to my body. That's not something I've seen in other nursing pillows. I've been breastfeeding for almost a year and I'm still using this pillow daily. The buckle in the back secures it to my body, and once I adjust it one time, it stays where it needs to be. The firmness is good and the shape fits around my body well. Compared to not using a pillow at all, the difference is huge. Without one, holding my baby where she needs to be is exhausting and makes my back, neck, and shoulders hurt. This pillow really reduces that tension. My one suggestion is that it could be slightly softer or a little less tall. I have a shorter torso, and depending on where I'm sitting, it can ride a bit high. A slightly less dense version would be better for people with my build. Overall though, I really love this pillow and would recommend it.
This pillow works great for both nursing and bottle feeds, and the strap is a game-changer for plus-size women like me. Unlike other boppy-style pillows that just stretch to go around me, this one has a wider, more square opening that actually fits better, and the strap secures it to my body. I still have extra room in the strap, so it would work even if I were bigger or pregnant again. I've been using it for about three to four months now, four or five times a day during daytime nursing sessions and a couple times a week for bottle feeds. Both ways it works great. The extra lip on the pillow prevents the baby from rolling off, which is especially important now that I have an almost 10-month-old. The pillow and strap are both easy to use, and you can remove the strap as needed. I haven't found any problems or limitations with this product. I can't wait to continue using it.
This is a really nice, versatile nursing pillow and a clear upgrade over the original Boppy I've had for seven years. It's more structured, bulkier, and props the baby up higher so you're not bending down as far. The back clasp keeps it secure, the material is easy to clean, and everything is removable. I also appreciate the extra lip on the edge that helps hold the baby in place. My one real critique is the sloped surface. After breastfeeding three kids, I personally prefer a flatter cushioned surface. The slope tends to roll my baby slightly inward rather than keeping him propped in the position I want. A flat surface helped him stay in place better. It didn't ruin our nursing experience, just made positioning a little less ideal for me compared to the flat support pillows we used in the NICU with lactation consultants and occupational therapy. Unfortunately our breastfeeding journey got cut short due to NICU and delivery complications with my third, so I only used it for nursing a short time. We've since transitioned it to a sitting support pillow and it works really well for that. I can undo the buckle, set him in it, and it's stable and sturdy. He sits in it for 20 to 30 minutes at a time, and I also use it as a fall support in case he topples over. The design is cute enough that I can leave it out and it matches the decor. A flatter surface would make this the absolute perfect pillow, but overall I'd definitely recommend it.
This pillow is great for bottle feeding and beyond. The backing design lets you rest the baby comfortably and snap it around your waist, so there's no shoulder, neck, or body strain. I also used it to burp the baby afterward by turning him over on the pillow, and sometimes he'd fall asleep right on it while it was still snapped around my waist. I didn't have to move or disturb him, which was really nice. Cleanup is easy too: just remove the cover, wash it, and put it back on. I received this when my baby was around two or three months old and it came right on time. I don't have experience with other nursing pillows, but I don't think any could compare. It was big enough for everything I needed. Five stars.
I use this pillow every single time I nurse, and it's incredibly comfortable. The wide design gives plenty of support, and the back panel is a great safety feature to prevent my baby from rolling off. I've been using it for about five or six months with my baby nursing every two hours, so it's gotten serious use. It's also very portable. I just throw it in my car or tuck it at the bottom of my stroller and grab it whenever I need to nurse. My only wish is that the back protective panel were a little higher for added security.
This pillow was a game-changer for positioning my baby while breastfeeding. The little lip on the side is my favorite feature. As my son got older and more wiggly, it kept him focused and in place so he wouldn't get distracted by the dog barking or the TV. In his younger days it served the same purpose, just keeping him secure on his side. I've been using it daily for the past 10 months as a full-time breastfeeding mom, and it's been comfortable and reliable the entire time. My one complaint is the strap. When you're using the pillow constantly, you don't need to buckle yourself in every time. I wish it were removable rather than permanently attached.
The improved Boppy Complete Nursing Pillow is a real step up from the original, with one trade-off: it's noticeably heavier. I got this for my second baby, and the biggest improvement is the strap that lets you secure the pillow to yourself. With the original Boppy, I was constantly frustrated because it would slide away from me while nursing. That problem is completely solved now. The added back piece also makes the whole thing feel much more solid and secure. The quality and comfort are excellent. It has great cushioning for the baby, and unlike something like a Brest Friend pillow, you can continue using the Boppy in different ways to support the baby as they get older. The straps are removable and all the covers are washable, which is a big plus. My only complaint is the weight. It feels at least three times heavier than the original. When I was nursing six times a day plus middle-of-the-night sessions, having to grab and buckle on such a heavy pillow each time felt cumbersome. Now that my baby is older and I'm nursing less frequently, the weight matters less. If you're in those early days of constant feeding, just be prepared for that. Overall it's a great pillow and I'd definitely recommend it.
This is my favorite pillow from Boppy and a total saver for my back and neck. I've been nursing with it for five and a half months now. Before using a pillow, I had a lot of tightness in my back and neck, and this pillow relieves that pressure completely. It's heavy, which actually makes it feel sturdy rather than flimsy, and the back and side support make everything feel more secure. It works great for both the football hold and the traditional cradle hold, whether I'm on the chair, couch, or bed. The belt adds extra support, and the removable cover makes washing really easy. One negative is that it doesn't work well for walking around like another common brand does. The weight and belt don't quite support it well enough while standing, though I'm not sure it's really meant for that. If you have a heavy baby, I'd highly recommend this pillow.
This nursing pillow is more supportive than any I've used before, and the versatility has been a game-changer. The extra lip or edge along the top provides excellent support for younger babies whether I'm nursing or bottle feeding. I've also used it to help my son learn to sit up: we place it around him so if he tips over, the pillow is tall enough to catch him or guide him back, and if he does fall, he lands on something soft. I really feel like it helped him in that learning process. I've had the opportunity to use the original Boppy as well. The original Boppy is thinner, which is nice in certain situations, but I always had to prop another pillow underneath to get the right height in the rocking chair or on the couch. This Complete pillow is firmer with higher support, so I can just sit down and nurse without fussing with extra pillows. The cover on the Boppy Complete Nursing Pillow is washable and I haven't noticed any shrinkage or change in durability after multiple washes. The strap is a nice option too. I didn't personally use it much, but friends of mine enjoy having that feature, and it's removable if you don't want it. I've been using this since my son was a couple of months old and he's now nine months. I'd definitely recommend it to any nursing or bottle feeding parents, or even parents with older kids who want help safely holding a younger sibling.
This nursing pillow made breastfeeding so much more comfortable and relaxed. I used it with my second baby for about four or five months, breastfeeding for over a year total, and I had zero back pain during feeds. It lets you give your arms a break while your baby sits in an ergonomic position, so you're not constantly worrying about holding them at the right posture or distance from the breast. You can just naturally feed. I loved that it works both clipped on and unclipped. I preferred it without the clip because it's easier to get on and off without having to reach back or ask for help. The removable, washable cover is a great feature, and I had no maintenance issues at all. It seems very durable. The design is modern and cute, which I appreciated. My son eventually outgrew it and doesn't nurse as often now, but it was a staple for those early months.
The Boppy Complete Nursing Pillow made my nursing journey so much easier and more comfortable. This was my first nursing pillow, so I had nothing to compare it to. It straps right to my body and positions my baby perfectly for comfortable, safe breastfeeding. Before I got the Boppy, I was stacking couch cushions and decorative pillows trying to get the right angle, or just holding him in my arms, which is tough because he's a big baby. The Boppy eliminated all of that. I've had it a few months now. I've mostly transitioned to pumping, so I don't use it daily or even weekly anymore, but I still pull it out when I breastfeed for comfort or to help get him down for naps. I honestly can't think of any limitations or situations where it didn't work perfectly. It's a great tool for nursing mothers.
This is hands down the best nursing pillow I've tried, and I went through four others before finding it. As a first-time mom, I was literally taking apart other pillows and pulling foam pieces out trying to make them work. This one combines everything I wished those others had into a single pillow. The lumbar support is thin enough that you can actually sit back flush in a chair. The cushion along the back keeps baby tucked into your body so they can't roll away. The height is great, especially for someone like me at 5'1". You can also remove the cover and use it as a regular Boppy pillow, so it adapts to whatever nursing position or caregiving moment you're in. With the other pillows I tried, one had lumbar support so thick I couldn't sit back in my chair. Another was so tall the pillow came up to my breasts and baby couldn't nurse on their side. A third was too soft and squishy to hold its shape or keep baby in position. None of them had the bar across the back, which is one of my favorite features of this one. The only issue is the slope of the pillow is a little more slanted than I'd prefer. Baby sometimes slides down a bit. The strap helps keep the pillow secure against your body so baby isn't slipping between you and the pillow like with other brands, but I do wish the surface were a little more level. I've been using this for about three or four months now, and I’ve given away every other nursing pillow since I got it. I still nurse two to three times a day and reach for it every single time.
This is by far my favorite nursing pillow, and I've tried many others. The lumbar cushion is a game-changer. I have a really bad back, and with other pillows I was in excruciating pain every single time I had to feed my son. None of them offered any back support. The Boppy completely solved that problem. I also love the front bolster, which gives me peace of mind that he's not going to slide off. The pillow is comfortable and the design actually goes nicely with my home decor, which is a bonus. Now that my son is about six months old, it's gotten a little more challenging. He's bigger and doesn't fit on it as well, and he wants to roll over the moment he's done feeding, sometimes before I'm even ready. I can still use it, just not quite as easily as before. I've been using the Boppy for about 6 months so far and I highly recommend it to anybody, especially if back pain while nursing has been an issue for you. I also love the fact that I can combo feed my son as well. So even if you don’t nurse exclusively, this pillow will still work great! It is extremely versatile!!
This is by far my favorite nursing pillow. I've used other nursing pillows in the past, and the Boppy stands out for being soft yet sturdy, lightweight, and not too bulky. I didn't use one with my first child, used this one with my second, and could definitely tell the difference. It's great for feeding in bed, letting baby lay on it while relaxing, or even while he's sleeping. I've been using it for about five months now and it still feels brand new. Cleaning is super easy whenever there's spit-up or a blowout. One improvement I'd suggest is making it slightly longer so it wraps more fully around your belly. Some additional attachments for extra support would also be nice. For everyday use at home, a little more support would help, though the compact size is perfect for traveling or taking on the go. I'd say it's a must-have when babies are smaller. Around the five-month mark, once my baby started kicking, turning, and wanting to explore on his own, I stopped reaching for it as much since he won't just stay still in the pillow. I would definitely recommend this product to all moms.
This pillow made nursing so much more comfortable. My arm was a lot less sore during and after feeding, and I really appreciated the bumper on the back that kept my daughter from sliding off while nursing. Before this, I was just using my bed pillow, and the Boppy is a huge upgrade in comfort and ease of use. The zipper lets you remove the cover and throw it right in the washer, which was super nice. Storage was also a breeze. My one suggestion would be to offer a slightly bigger pillow surface for larger babies. It wasn't an issue with my youngest, but I think it would have been with my older child who was in the 99th percentile. I just finished nursing my second child after ten and a half months, and I would absolutely get this pillow again if I had another.
This is the best nursing pillow I've ever used. The thickness is the key difference: baby sits up higher, so I'm not hunching over as far, which is so much better on my back. I also appreciate how it clips around me. It's easy to clean and I have no qualms with it. I'm using this with my second baby, and we're going on eight months of nursing. I nursed my first for three years using a Boppy pillow every single time. With my second I've actually used the pillow less, only because he prefers different positions the pillow isn't able to accommodate. That said, this version is a clear upgrade over the original. I just think it's a great pillow.
This is probably the number one nursing pillow out there. I've used all of them outside the Boppy family, plus the original Boppy, and the Complete is my favorite. It's structurally more sturdy than the original, doesn't bend or feel flimsy, and allows for much more comfortable positioning for my baby. The lumbar support is probably my favorite feature, but the strap mechanism is incredibly frustrating. The strap gets tangled inside the buckle, and you have to straighten it out so it glides through smoothly. Trying to do this one-handed while your baby is already on the pillow is nearly impossible. If you put it on without the baby first, it can come undone as you walk around, so you end up readjusting anyway. More often than not I'm sitting down, buckling it, and tightening the lumbar support with my baby already on the pillow, which makes the tangling even harder to deal with. The raised barrier on top of the pillow wasn't really necessary for us. It didn't prevent any rolling or serve much purpose. This is my third baby and I nurse every two to three hours. I've been using the Complete pillow for about four months now. I bring it with me throughout the house during the day, though I don't use it as often for middle-of-the-night feedings. I love it.
The Boppy Complete Nursing Pillow was the most supportive nursing pillow I've used, and I've tried a couple others. It was by my side through postpartum, probably six to seven times a day for seven months. My baby fit on it perfectly. I love how it clips behind the back and how firm the pillow is. It looked cute too. My only complaint is that it doesn't have pockets like another nursing pillow I have, but that's a minor thing.
The Boppy nursing pillow is a must-have for the newborn stage. It's super firm and stays that way, unlike other nursing pillows (or regular pillows) that go flat or sink under the baby's weight. It straps around you and buckles so it doesn't move, which keeps the baby supported and in a good position to latch the entire session. My hands were completely free to eat, drink, or go on my phone while nursing. Before I got the Boppy, I was holding my baby with just my arms and compensating with my neck and trap muscles because my back was so tired. I was getting tension headaches a couple times a week. Once I started using the Boppy, the headaches stopped completely because I didn't have to bear his weight anymore. As a first-time mom, you're not used to those muscles, especially when you're nursing like 20 times a day. I got it when my son was about three or four months old. He's seven months now and I honestly don't use it much anymore. Once babies get older, nursing sessions go from long to maybe 5–10 minutes, their latch improves, and they start squirming and flailing everywhere. My son just started crawling and he's trying to crawl while nursing, kicking and moving his arms. We mostly nurse laying down now in different positions, so it would actually take more time to grab the pillow than the session itself lasts. The design is a light pink, almost beige, with subtle stripe patterns. It's aesthetically pleasing and fits right in with my home decor. Cleaning is easy too. I haven't really needed to clean it much, but the cover comes right off and you can throw it in the wash. I definitely recommend the Boppy for any nursing mom with a smaller baby, from newborn until they start crawling. Once they outgrow it, they just don't need the support anymore. But for those early months, it was a lifesaver.
This pillow is uncomfortable, not ergonomic, and makes my baby overheat. It's hard to put on, and the baby falls toward me every time I use it. The material doesn't feel like cotton, which I think contributes to how hot he gets. I keep my AC at 72°F, so it's not the house temperature. I used it for every breastfeeding session for about two months before finally stopping two weeks ago because it just wasn't working for either of us.
This is my favorite nursing pillow by far, and this is my fourth child. After a couple of months of daily use, it has maintained its shape and firmness, unlike other nursing pillows I've used in the past that start off firm but quickly become mushy and sink in. My baby actually refuses to nurse on any other pillow. We have a backup we keep in the bedroom, but my husband has to bring this one from the living room because she just doesn't fit comfortably in the other one. I love that it's not too bulky. My rocking chair is on the smaller end, a wooden rocker rather than one of those big sofa-style recliners, and this pillow fits perfectly. It also works comfortably on our sofa without taking up too much space, so other people can sit next to us. I'm combo feeding, and my older children can also help feed the baby with a bottle using the pillow, which has been great. I believe what my baby prefers is the firmness. Our other pillow firma up after washing the cover and then stretches right back out. I still have no negatives about this pillow. We completely love it.
This pillow is a real improvement over the regular Boppy. The more square shape fits both my and my husband's body type more comfortably than the traditional U-shape, which honestly seems designed for extremely narrow frames. As everyone knows, you're not exactly narrow right after having a baby, and the U-shape requires stretching or manipulating it to fit. This one lets you rest your arms on different sides without feeling like your baby is going to slide through. My husband and I have both used it to bottle-feed our daughter over the last four months, and he especially likes the lip that prevents our wiggly baby from rolling off. It's so much easier than feeding freehand when they're little because it contains them snug to your body and really helps with arm fatigue. The removable cover is a huge plus. You just unsnap the clip portion, unzip the cover, and throw it in the wash. It still looks great with no fading or shrinking even after going through the dryer, which matters given how often babies spit up. We didn't use the back support clip-in piece since we typically feed on the couch where the back is already supportive. I could see it being helpful on an unpadded dining chair or in the car on long drives, but it wasn't something we needed. I used the regular Boppy for my son's entire breastfeeding journey and the beginning of my daughter's with no issues. It was great. This one is just a little more improved and comfortable for us. I'm pregnant with my third and can't wait to use it for nursing this time around.
The larger surface area on this newer Boppy is fantastic for nursing. My baby was able to lay on his side and nurse really comfortably, and I felt comfortable too. The strap that holds it to you keeps everything secure, which I appreciated. I had the previous rounder Boppy and liked how it hugged around my waist, but this one is a clear upgrade for its primary purpose. The tradeoff is versatility. The older version doubled as back support when my baby was sitting next to me, a lap cushion for TV watching, and just generally worked well in non-nursing situations. This newer version is more singular in purpose, which is fine, but worth knowing going in. I used it multiple times a day starting around five or six months ago. My son is almost nine months now and has outgrown it, but he's in the 99th percentile, so a typical-sized baby would likely get more mileage out of it. The design is really cute. Mine had green leaves on a white-cream background and blended perfectly into our nursery decor. I'm looking forward to using it again with my next baby and sharing it with friends in the meantime.
This pillow provides excellent support for both me and baby during nursing. It wraps right around my waist to keep him close and gives him great back support and a comfortable position. We've been using it daily, often multiple times a day, for about three or four months now and I have no suggestions for improvement.
This pillow makes feeding so easy. I just pop my baby on it and go, whether I'm nursing or bottle feeding. After six months of daily use, it's been consistently great. The physical ridge on top acts as a barrier that prevents the baby from rolling off, which is a really nice design feature. Beyond feeding, it's also great for tummy time and helping baby practice sitting up, as long as you're watching them.
Overall it's a great product, but I feel like the pillow is a bit small now that my daughter is almost seven months. It could also be that I'm a first-time mom and just need to use it differently. I think I preferred the older style that wrapped around more, since this one doesn't offer as much back support without the strap. Using it on my recliner probably doesn't help either; a wider seat like my living room sofa might work better. The fabric is really nice and washes super easily. I've washed it numerous times and the quality has held up great. I use it pretty sparingly now, about 15 minutes per feeding. I think it's a solid product, and I probably just need to adjust how I'm using it.
This nursing pillow has been a lifesaver for nighttime breastfeeding. Instead of holding the baby up by myself, I can lay him on the pillow, which makes such a difference. I've had it for a few months now and use it almost every day. I wouldn't change a thing about it. I'm so happy I got the opportunity to try it.
