ACG Cloud Trekker Pants

These pants are fantastic for utility. They keep me dry, breathe really well, and move with you thanks to a bit of stretch in the fabric. I use them primarily for fly fishing in the mountains during fall and spring, and they handle water resistance impressively as long as I'm not fully submerged in the river. They're also great for hiking. They run tight and high-waisted. I'm normally a 6 to 8 with a 28-inch waist and ordered a size 8. They're snug, especially on my bigger bottom, which I actually appreciate for hiking. If you don't like high-waisted pants, these probably aren't for you. They have a nice stretch so they never feel uncomfortable despite the tightness. The belt is great too. At 5'8", they run a little short on me. That works fine for my purposes since I get in the water and hike in them, but if you're 5'8" or taller and want full length, keep that in mind. The weight is somewhere in between: thin enough to be breathable but warm enough for cooler weather. They're not thick enough for cold conditions and not light enough for summer fly fishing. I wouldn't say they're the most flattering pants, but for what they do, they deliver. I haven't washed them yet since I don't wash these types of items often unless they get muddy, so I can't speak to shrinkage. Overall I really like them for outdoor use.
